trans-3-hexen-1-ol, also known as (3E)-3-hexen-1-ol, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as fatty alcohols. These are aliphatic alcohols consisting of a chain of a least six carbon atoms. Based on a literature review a significant number of articles have been published on trans-3-hexen-1-ol.
